Three-Star Running Back D’Antae Sheffey Commits To Penn State Football

Happy Valley’s own is here to stay.

Class of 2026 three-star running back D’Antae Sheffey has committed to Penn State football, he announced Wednesday.

The senior from State College Area High School is the No. 74 running back and No. 35 recruit from Pennsylvania, according to the 247Sports’ composite rankings.

The 5’11”, 180-pound running back was named to the first-team all-state, recording 1,613 yards and 26 touchdowns in the 2025 season. Sheffey originally committed to Syracuse in April 2024, before decomitting in November 2025. He had offers from 13 schools, including Virginia Tech, Rutgers, Pitt, and Missouri.

Sheffey is the 13th player from the class of 2026 to commit to Penn State.
