Barry comes to Happy Valley with plenty of experience, having started 22 games at Christopher Newport University, where he passed for over five thousand yards and 55 touchdowns.

After transferring from Appalachian State to Christopher Newport, Barry earned several accolades, including being named a second-team All-American and winning the New Jersey Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year in 2025.

Barry is the 40th player the Nittany Lions have landed in the portal this cycle and has one year of eligibility left. He will likely compete for the backup quarterback spot alongside Iowa State transfer Alex Mankske.
