Penn State Football Quarterback Rocco Becht Named To Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award Top 15

Penn State football quarterback Rocco Becht has been named to the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award Top 15, the program announced on Thursday.
The Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Educational Foundation presents the award, now in its 40th year. It is designed to “honor excellence both on and off the field” for college football quarterbacks.
Becht is a redshirt senior and leads the nation in wins for any current signal caller. He ranks third among active FBS quarterbacks in passing yards with 10,382 and in passing touchdowns with 74.
Additionally, his 797 completions rank fourth-most in the land on the third-most 1,311 passing attempts. These numbers come over 47 games.
The Wesley Chapel, Florida, native is also on the Davey O’Brien Award, Manning Award, and Maxwell Award watch lists.
Despite the strong career numbers, Becht has struggled greatly over the past two games. During Penn State’s losses to Wisconsin and Northwestern, he has thrown for just one combined touchdown, three interceptions, and 357 yards.
Becht will try to get back on track this weekend when No. 19 USC comes to town. The game will mark the 19th full-stadium White Out in program history.
