Nittany Lions In The NFL: Championship Weekend Roundup

The stage is set for Super Bowl LX, after a Nittany Lion-filled Championship weekend. While some former Penn State football players punched their ticket to the Golden City, others etched their names in the history books by reaching the divisional championship rounds. Three Nittany Lions were on the contending rosters this weekend, with one advancing to the biggest stage of their career, extending Penn State’s streak of having former players appear in every Super Bowl since Super Bowl XLV.

Let’s round up these Nittany Lion performances from the weekend.

Chris Stoll, Seattle Seahawks

The long snapper for the Seahawks played for a total of 10 snaps, all on special teams, to help the Seahawks clinch the NFL Championship title, 31-27, over the L.A. Rams. Stoll is in his third season with the Seahawks and will make his Super Bowl debut.

Jesse Luketa, Los Angeles Rams

Rams linebacker Jesse Luketa was listed on the practice squad for this championship weekend.

Caedan Wallace, New England Patriots

The former Penn State offensive lineman for the Patriots has been listed as inactive for the playoffs. The Patriots clinched the AFC Championship and will face the NFC Champs, the Seattle Seahawks, in Super Bowl LX.
