[Photo Story] Penn State Women’s Hockey Defeats Robert Morris At Beaver Stadium

Hockey Valley took center stage at Beaver Stadium this week as Penn State women’s hockey took on Robert Morris to open the Beaver Stadium festivities. The Nittany Lions shut out the Colonials in the first game of the series.

Of course, our photographers were on the scene to capture all the action during the chilly weekend. Let’s take a look at how it went down.

Our photographers got up and personal with the players.

The Nittany Lions outshot Robert Morris 37-11, netting three goals and completely dominating offensively.

The Nittany Lion made an appearance, bringing the playfulness and joy he’s known for.

The crowd showed up despite below-freezing temperatures for the first Division I hockey game played at Beaver Stadium. With 1,838 fans in attendance, Penn State women’s hockey recorded its largest crowd in program history.

Although it was cold, hockey at Beaver was a lot of fun.
