Your Guide On What Color To Wear At Stripe Out
Penn State football season is here, folks!
The first game of the year is right around the corner, with the Penn State Nittany Lions taking on the Marshall Thundering Herd on Saturday, September 5, at 3:30 p.m. in Beaver Stadium.
The home opener’s theme this year is Stripe Out, a Penn State tradition dating back to 2015, in which the stadium is decorated with a blue-and-white striped pattern throughout.
With construction still underway at Beaver Stadium, you may be a little confused about what color to wear to the game.
This year on the west side, the upper section has been replaced with two separate sections, mimicking the south seating. Each section will alternate between blue and white. You can find a map here to see which color your section is.
The exception to the Stripe Out is the area surrounding the student section. The lower level from WB through EB will all wear white, along with sections 301-304, 401-404, EBU-EAU, and SE201-SE203 on the upper levels.
This will be the 11th annual Stripe Out. The Nittany Lions will try and get back in the Stripe Out win column after losing last year’s to Northwestern.
Penn State is 6-4 in Stripe Out matchups all time.
