Report: Gavin McKenna Expected To Play Against No. 2 Michigan

Penn State men’s hockey Gavin McKenna is expected to suit up against No. 2 Michigan, according to NHL scouts.
McKenna was originally charged with an aggravated assault felony, which was then dropped on February 6. The Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada native’s other charges still stand, and his preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 11. It was originally scheduled for February 11.
The potential first-overall pick has recorded 32 points this season, with 11 goals and 21 assists. He is tied with Matt DiMarsico for the team lead in points. He and DiMarsico are also tied for 20th in the nation for points. McKenna is also nominated for the Hobey Baker Award.
McKenna and the rest of the Nittany Lions will travel to Yost Ice Arena to take on No. 2 Michigan at 6:30 p.m. Friday, February 13.
