Center Egor Shilov Commits To Penn State Men’s Hockey

Left-handed center Egor Shilov has committed to Penn State men’s hockey, he announced on Instagram on Thursday.
Shilov played for the Victoriaville Tigres in the QMJHL this past season, recording 82 points on 32 goals and 50 assists in 62 games. However, his plus-minus was -11 throughout the season. Shilov won Rookie of the Year in the QMJHL for his efforts. Former winners of the award include Alexis Lafrenière, Nico Hischier, and Sidney Crosby.
The Tyumen, Russia, native also spent time with the Green Bay Gamblers in the USHL at the beginning of his junior career. He was initially committed to Boston University.
Shilov joins a new-look Nittany Lion team that has been picking up steam on the recruiting trail. He is the third commit this week, joining Charlie Michaud and Marco Mignosa.
