Former Clemson Outfielder Bryce Clavon Transfers To Penn State Baseball

Clemson outfielder Bryce Clavon is transferring to Penn State baseball, he announced on social media on Thursday night.
He has two years of eligibility remaining.
Clavon initially committed to Georgia out of high school after a tremendous prep career at Kell High School in Kennesaw, Georgia, where he was named an All-American and invited to the 2024 MLB Draft Combine. He was also a sought-after three-star football recruit, receiving offers from Indiana and several Group of Five contenders.
He didn’t play much as a true freshman for the Bulldogs, making just one start and appearing in 27 games, going 5-for-15 with three extra-base hits.
He transferred to Clemson that summer, where he earned a starting job in center field and was a mainstay in their lineup, slashing .255/.364/.423 with 5 home runs, 18 RBIs, and nine stolen bases in 42 games. In addition to manning center field, he’s played second base and both corner outfield spots in college.
The 20-year-old will look to follow the blueprint of several recent big-time recruits who left a premier baseball conference for Penn State after their stock dropped early in their collegiate careers. Such success stories include All-Big Ten First Teamer Paxton Kling in 2025 and Second-Team All-American Michael Anderson in 2026.
