Former Three-Star Penn State Football Cornerback Commit Zachary Gleason Jr. Flips To West Virginia

Penn State class of 2027 three-star cornerback commit Zachary Gleason Jr. has flipped his commitment to West Virginia, per On3’s Hayes Fawcett.

Gleason committed to the Nittany Lions on March 31.

The Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, native is ranked as the No. 20 player in the state and No. 75 cornerback in the class of 2027. He was the second member to join Matt Campbell’s 2027 recruiting class.

Gleason took official visits to Morgantown on May 29 and to Happy Valley on June 5.

The Central Catholic product is the second cornerback in the Nittany Lions’ 2027 recruiting class to flip his commitment to another program in the last week, joining Semajay Robinson, who committed to Virginia on Monday. Three-star Ka’ron Ceaser and four-star Kei’Shjaun Telfair are the only cornerbacks who remain in Campbell’s 2027 group.
