The NFL preseason is over, and with that come roster cuts. All 32 teams finalized their 53-man rosters on Sunday, and not every Penn Stater has a place to call home to open the 2026 campaign.

Fourteen Nittany Lions failed to make an NFL roster heading into the season, ranging from rookies to established league veterans. Here’s a quick breakdown of who’s out with the season opener 10 days away.

Adisa Isaac

The Baltimore Ravens waived defensive end Adisa Isaac after years of injuries had hampered his ability to start consistently. The 2024 third-round pick also didn’t make Baltimore’s opening 53-man roster a year ago after dislocating his elbow. Isaac should draw significant interest on the waiver wire.

Nick Dawkins

Former Penn State center Nick Dawkins joined Isaac on the way out of Baltimore. Dawkins joined the Ravens as an undrafted free agent in April, but didn’t survive ahead of the regular season.

He was listed as the No. 4 center on the Ravens’ depth chart behind Danny Pinter, Ethan Pocic, and Jovaughn Gwyn.

Trebor Peña

Penn State’s Pinstripe Bowl hero failed to make the Jacksonville Jaguars’ 53-man roster after joining the team as an undrafted free agent. He racked up 91 yards and a touchdown on seven receptions in the preseason, but didn’t carve his way into Jacksonville’s crowded receiver room that includes former Penn State wideout Parker Washington Jr.

Will Levis

The Tennessee Titans parted ways with former Penn State quarterback Will Levis after three seasons. Levis played in 21 games for the Titans between 2023 and 2024, but he never truly hit his stride to earn the QB1 spot.

With 2025 No. 1 overall pick Cam Ward and veteran Mitch Trubisky on the roster, Levis is out. Teams in need of an experienced backup should be quick to pick him up on waivers.

Khalil Dinkins

The San Francisco 49ers waived former Penn State tight end Khalil Dinkins, but hope to have him back on the practice squad, per ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler. He signed with San Francisco as an undrafted free agent in April and played 29 snaps in the team’s preseason finale against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Dominic DeLuca

The Ravens continued cleaning out their Nittany Lion stock by waiving former Penn State linebacker Dominic DeLuca just before the 6 p.m. deadline. DeLuca registered 12 tackles in the preseason, including eight in Baltimore’s finale against the Washington Commanders.

Curtis Jacobs

The Washington Commanders released former Penn State linebacker Curtis Jacobs in their final cut of the afternoon. Jacobs has bounced around the league with stops in Kansas City, New England, Tennessee, and the New York Giants. He started two games for the Patriots in 2024.

Sean Clifford

Sean Clifford did not make the Cincinnati Bengals’ initial 53-man roster after some impressive moments in the preseason. The Bengals opted to roll with a quality-over-quantity two-quarterback room of Joe Burrow and Joe Flacco.

Jalen Kimber

With the Bengals waiving former Penn State cornerback Jalen Kimber, it’s fair to say he hasn’t landed fully on his feet yet in the NFL. He signed with the Titans as an undrafted free agent in 2025 and has spent a lot of back-and-forth time on the Buffalo Bills’ practice squad since.

His latest dumping, this time from Cincinnati, takes him back to the drawing board.

Mitchell Tinsley

The Bengals’ Penn State cleansing ends with former Penn State wideout Mitchell Tinsley. He played in all 17 of Cincinnati’s games in 2025, racking up eight receptions for 116 yards and two touchdowns. He is fully healthy and should be a priority waiver wire pickup for a receiver-needy team.

Jesse Luketa

The New England Patriots released former Penn State linebacker Jesse Luketa, who totaled three sacks and one forced fumble with the Arizona Cardinals in 2024.

Luketa signed a one-year deal with the Patriots in March after spending some time on the Los Angeles Rams’ practice squad. He did not play a snap in 2025.

Amani Oruwariye

The 2019 fifth-round pick was reportedly waived by the Ravens after spending most of 2025 on the team’s practice squad. Baltimore could sign him back to the practice squad if he clears waivers. He has played in 62 career games and has registered 10 interceptions.

Nolan Rucci

The Indianapolis Colts waived undrafted free agent Nolan Rucci, who worked his way through the Colts’ training camp all summer. He won’t join former Penn State tight end Tyler Warren on Indianapolis’ 53-man roster, but should be a popular depth piece on the offensive line on the waiver wire.

Tyler Duzansky

Former Penn State long snapper Tyler Duzansky did not make the Raiders’ 53-man roster, losing the starting long snapper spot to veteran Alex Ward. The former Patrick Mannelly Award finalist will hit the waiver wire.
