Shaquille O’Neal, under the stage name DJ Diesel, headlined the Student Programming Association’s (SPA) “LightsUP” on Friday night. The event allows students to kick off the fall semester at University Park with a high-energy concert on the HUB Lawn.

Before the main performances began, SPA hosted an array of events across the lawn.

Sibling duo Between Friends opened the show with an entertaining performance.

Of course, Shaq had to make an appearance at his Big Chicken location downtown before his performance.

The man, the myth, the legend finally took the stage.

The fans were LIVING for DJ Diesel!

The whole night was one big party, and Shaq was the life of it. He made sure a few lucky students got to join him on stage to party!

DJ Diesel brought his A-game to this event and kept everyone hyped and singing along.
