Penn State Women’s Volleyball No. 10 In Week Two Of AVCA Poll

Penn State women’s volleyball rose to No. 12 in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association poll, released Monday afternoon. The Nittany Lions improved from the No. 13 spot in the rankings in week one after falling three spots since the preseason poll.

The Penn State Nittany Lions lost 1-3 to No. 3 Kentucky Wildcats at Wrigley Field this past weekend, breaking its three-game winning streak. The blue and white are now 3-1 heading into week three.

Besides Penn State, the Big Ten was loud and proud in this week’s poll with No. 1 Nebraska, No. 6 Wisconsin, No. 13 Minnesota, No. 14 Purdue, No. 21 Indiana, and No. 24 Oregon.

The Nittany Lions are set to take on DePaul at 4 p.m. on Monday, September 7, at McGrath-Phillips Arena, followed by Stanford at 6 p.m. on Friday, September 11, at The Palestra. They will then head home to Rec Hall where they’ll face Ohio at 7 p.m. on Saturday, September 12, for its Team Ream Match.
