Fourth Penn State Fraternity Implicated In Alleged Drug Trafficking Ring

Another Penn State fraternity has been implicated in the alleged Penn State cocaine trafficking ring.
Alpha Gamma Rho is the fourth fraternity to be mentioned in court documents after a grand jury presentment found that a Delta Upsilon pledge delivered cocaine to a member of Alpha Gamma Rho at the fraternity’s off-campus house.
According to the grand jury presentment, Daniel Price was asked by Thomas Robinson to deliver cocaine to A.B., a member of Alpha Gamma Rho, on March 15, 2024.
Price told the grand jury that he delivered the cocaine to the Alpha Gamma Rho house in exchange for $40. Robinson allegedly asked Price to make approximately 10 cocaine deliveries, according to the presentment.
On another occasion, Price reportedly delivered cocaine to one of Robinson’s friends in Alpha Gamma Rho. During that transaction, the friend allegedly paid Robinson through Venmo.
Robinson, a member of Delta Upsilon, is accused of being a central figure in the drug trafficking operation.
According to court documents, he faces charges including conspiracy, manufacturing or delivering controlled substances, possession with intent to deliver, among others.
The Pennsylvania Attorney General’s office, the State College Police Department, and other law enforcement agencies conducted the investigation through the 52nd Statewide Investigating Grand Jury.
The grand jury presentment identifies several Penn State students and fraternity members connected to the investigation. Alpha Gamma Rho is the fourth fraternity connected to the alleged operation alongside Sigma Chi, Delta Upsilon, and Acacia.
The documents do not indicate that Alpha Gamma Rho has been charged in connection with the investigation or that the alleged cocaine was sold beyond Alpha Gamma Rho.
Penn State placed Alpha Gamma Rho on organizational suspension in 2024 for hosting an unauthorized event in November. The fraternity was prohibited from hosting social events at the time because of the prior suspension.
Alpha Gamma Rho returned to university-recognized status in the summer of 2024 and has not been suspended since.
