Penn State Arboretum To Host Pumpkin Fest October 16-18

October is here and so is Penn State Pumpkin Fest.
The annual family-friendly event will take place October 16-18 at the Arboretum.
The event will feature seasonal foods from local food trucks and crafts and activities for all ages. Pumpkin decorating, story time, and specialty quiet hours will also be available at various times throughout the weekend.
Pumpkin Fest also features a Jack-o’-Lantern contest.
The Arboretum will give pumpkins away to community members for contest participation. Contestants are asked to return carved pumpkins by October 15, between 4 and 7 p.m., or October 16 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Events on October 16 include a pumpkin patch for folks 21 or older and a live music event from 5 to 8 p.m. The following day will include a story time starting at 10 a.m. as well as children’s activities throughout the day.
October 18, the final day of Pumpkin Fest, is for Jack-o’-Lantern pickup only. Folks can pick up their competition entries from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. before they are composted.
