OS Reviews: Nittany Meadow Farm’s Goat Yoga

Where else would you rather be on Monday night than at some good-ol’-fashioned goat yoga?

Our staff revisited Nittany Meadow Farm in Boalsburg, Pennsylvania, for a goat yoga session for the first time since September 2021. Is there a better way to de-stress than completely ignoring the lovely yoga instructor and playing around with some goats?

Here’s what our staff thought of the goat yoga experience.

Pilot Land

Goat yoga was the most relaxing yet exciting thing I’ve done at Penn State so far.

I loved everyone’s energy, and the goats were so friendly. My favorite part was when a goat chose me, and I sat with him for a few minutes.

Out of my 2.5 years at Penn State, goat yoga was honestly one of the most fun experiences I’ve had. We started by learning the rules and some fun facts about goats.

The ones we did the actual yoga with were on the younger side and were so cute!

They all had lots of energy and were excellent yoga partners. I would love to do this again sometime and definitely recommend it to anyone looking for something unique to do in State College.

BDE (Best day ever). Wow. We had the best time at goat yoga. The staff was so kind and shared some goat facts beforehand!

Definitely will be going back.

A picturesque sunset, tiny goats sitting in your lap, and a round of goat milk shots to end the night. What more could you ask for?

Nittany Meadow Farm, we will be back.

Genuinely the best experience ever.

I didn’t think I would have loved goat yoga as much as I did in the end. Was there much yoga done? Not really, but the goats were just too cute. And doing it with the lovely people of Onward State was just the cherry on top!

This was my first time doing goat yoga, and it was even better than I was anticipating!

The owners of Nittany Meadow Farm were great hosts and walked us through exactly how to handle the goats. They made sure everyone had a chance to have a goat on their back and cuddle with one if you wanted!

After having a crazy few weeks, goat yoga was just what I needed to unwind and relax. The yoga instructor was amazing, and there were no expectations for anyone’s yoga skills.

I had so much fun, and getting a goat to jump on and stand on my back with such a big group of friends is something I will never forget. I had an amazing experience at Nittany Meadow Farm and will definitely be back!

It was a great time hanging out with all the Onward State folks and LeBron (one of the goats). I also didn’t get peed on or pooped on, which was a plus.

Number of yoga poses done: Zero.
Goats held: One

It was a blast, and I would 100% do it again. Would recommend.

Goat yoga might have been one of my favorite experiences at Penn State so far.

Those cute little goats are enough to make anyone’s day. I loved every second of it, even if the goats jumping off my back hurt a little. The best part was hanging out with some fellow Onward Staters.

Special shoutout to Cam Wallace, the true goat.

Goat yoga was so much fun. It was a beautiful farm run by an awesome family. I honestly did zero yoga because I just wanted to play with the goats.

Everyone was so friendly and so kind. I tried goat milk for the first time, and it pairs very well with Frosted Flakes. I now have a new love for goats.

Goat Yoga was probably one of the best experiences. From the sunset to the goat milk, it was a 10-out-of-10 experience.

I appreciate how much they let us hang out with the goats, and I really enjoyed having some of the goats sit with me and climb on me. I want to do this every weekend. It truly put the biggest smile on my face.

As someone who does yoga regularly, hearing that the Onward State crew was taking a trip to Nittany Meadow Farm sounded like the perfect way to spend a Monday evening. And boy, was I right.

From the moment I walked in, I was immediately drawn to the goats (shocking, I know). There were even baby goats born the day before, some of the cutest things I’ve ever seen.

As we headed to the grass to lay out our mats, the goats came running over. I was especially excited to cuddle them and have them jump on my back during yoga. The possibility of getting pooped on? Not quite as exciting.

Between spending time with friends, stretching out under a beautiful sunset, and having goats randomly hop onto my back mid-pose, it was easily one of the most memorable yoga sessions I’ve ever had.

The instructors were incredibly kind and knowledgeable, which made the experience even better. We even got to try goat milk at the end of class.

All in all, goat yoga was the perfect mix of relaxation and chaos. Huge shoutout to everyone at Nittany Meadow Farm for such a fun experience. I’d 100% recommend it and would go again.

Nittany Meadow Farm, you made my semester.

I’ve wanted to do goat yoga for a long time, and boy, did it exceed my expectations.

I think I underestimated just how social the goats would be. I had one stand on my back for what felt like the better part of five minutes (shoutout Teddy). At one point, I even had two climb onto me.

The “goat whisperers” were incredibly kind and knowledgeable, which made the experience even better. The yoga itself was definitely a side character, but I had nonstop smiles all evening.

At the end, we got to sample pasteurized goat milk, and I even bought a quart to take home for the well-worth-it price of $4.

Goat Yoga was one of the best activities I’ve done at Penn State. It was super fun, and the goats were all awesome. Special shoutout to Peach, who was my favorite.

Cooper Hill

Goat yoga was super cool, and the goats were super cute. They had the goats jump on our backs and allowed us to cuddle with them. Peach the goat was the G.O.A.T.

The sunset during the yoga added to the experience, but I was personally not a fan of the goat milk. Overall, I highly recommend goat yoga!
