Penn State Women’s Hockey Falls To No. 6 In USCHO Poll

Penn State women’s hockey fell one spot to No. 6 in the latest USCHO Poll, the association announced Monday. It is the second drop in the rankings the team has seen in 2026-27, falling from No. 4 at the start of the season and No. 5 a week ago.
The new ranking comes immediately after Penn State completed a series sweep of Lindenwood at home, defeating the Lions 5-4 and 3-0 over the two-game set.
Penn State has seen some struggles in the early stage of the season. It suffered an overtime loss to Syracuse, who received votes but remains unranked. It was also swept by now-ranked No. 1 Ohio State in the home opener. Penn State’s record stands at 5-3-0.
The Nittany Lions will try to recover lost ground on the road over the weekend against facing St. Lawrence in Canton, New York, on October 23 and 24. The next currently-ranked opponent Penn State is set to face is No. 2 Minnesota on November 28.
