Transfer Portal Roundup: Week 8

With a week off from Penn State football, folks could look at other teams across the country. Whether you rooted for them or against them, a host of former Penn State players once again took the field after transferring from Happy Valley.
Despite Penn State football’s woes, other players have found great success elsewhere.
Let’s see how they did.

Ethan Grunkemeyer completed 20 of 32 passes for 156 yards and two touchdowns.
Grunkemeyer’s solid performance helped Virginia Tech beat Clemson 20-16.
Luke Reynolds, Virginia Tech
Luke Reynolds was Grunkemeyer’s top target. He caught seven passes for 44 yards and two scores. Reynolds also had the game-winning touchdown catch with under two minutes to go.
Mylachi Williams, Virginia Tech
Mylachi Williams had a late fourth-quarter sack to seal the win for the Hokies. That was his only contribution.
Keon Wylie, Virginia Tech
Keon Wylie had four solo tackles and a tackle for loss. The linebacker is in the midst of his best season yet, with 42 tackles, a sack, and a fumble recovery.

While Tennessee fell to South Carolina 27-24, Xavier Gilliam found plenty of success against South Carolina’s interior offensive line.
He recorded one sack and three quarterback hits.

Beau Pribula, Virginia
Beau Pribula struggled in a 19-16 loss to Duke, completing just 15 of 24 passes for 158 yards and an interception. He did add 21 carries for 66 yards, however.
