Senator Bob Casey To Visit State College Tomorrow

Tomorrow morning, U.S Senator Bob Casey Jr. will be making an appearance at the Corner Room where he will will meet with supporters and the public. Casey is set to arrive at 11 a.m. Sen. Casey, from Scranton Pa. has served in the Senate since 2006 after a victory over Rick Santorum and is running for reelection against Tom Smith, a republican from Armstrong County and founder of a Tea Party group called the Indiana and Armstrong Patriots. Prior to entering politics this year, Smith worked for decades as a coal miner and later owner of a successful coal mining business.

AG Candidate Kathleen Kane to Visit Irvings

Tomorrow morning, Kathleen Kane, a democratic candidate for Pennsyvlania Attorney General will be having breakfast and meeting with supporters in Irvings Cafe (@IrvingsPSU). The event, held at 9:45 a.m. is open to the public and will provide a chance for attendees to meet Kane.

A Look At PA-5th Congressional Candidates

With the presidential election only eight days away, naturally all eyes are on the campaigns of Governor Mitt Romney and President Barack Obama. However, the impact of the 5th congressional district vote--the district including State College--is also included on the Nov. 6th ballot. The candidates are Republican incumbent Rep. Glenn Thompson and Democrat Charles Dumas. Thompson, hailing from rural central Pennsylvania with a background in healthcare, has served two terms in congress.

New Orleans Themed Nightclub Opens Today

A New Orleans themed restaurant and club, called club "Duo" will open today. Located on Pugh Street between College and Beaver, the restaurant portion of the complex which features a quality cajun-infused menu had been previously announced, however the second floor nightclub remained unknown.
