Canning trips are coming and going, THONvelopes are being sent out, and THON 2011 is approaching! Fourteen pairs of THON Captains are going to be on the Eisenhower Auditorium stage contending in the second annual Mr. and Mrs. THON pageant tonight.
Finally, all the paperwork, deadlines, dance moves, and set designs were put into place for the 2010 Greek Sing. Penn State’s Greek life has been practicing long and hard all over campus for this Battle of Broadway. Fraternities and sororities paired up to “Steal the Spotlight,” which was this year’s theme.
The Off Campus Student Union (OCSU), along with the State College Borough, hosted a question and answer session last night. Walking into Heritage Hall, I was immediately accused of being a student only here for a class. In actuality, most of the audience was made up of graduate students with questions about housing projects, zoning laws, and noise violations.
Last night, the BJC was filled with anticipation awaiting the comedian who brought you the BK Lounge. Dane Cook returned to Penn State for the second time in five years.

This week is full of hip hop, now including, for the first time at Penn State, Cuban rappers. The trio of rappers includes Soandri del Rio, Ariel Fernandez and Miki Flow.
If you’re interested in hearing underground artists, make sure you come to Heritage Hall in the HUB on Thursday, November 4. The performer is Shawn Chrystopher, a unique rapper with an interesting style and lyrics, and the event is hosted by Students Organizing the Multiple Arts (SOMA).
