Boys Like Girls Like Penn State

Today, it was announced that the Student Programming Association will be bringing the artists Boys Like Girls to the homecoming weekend this year with a special performance in Rec Hall.

5 Songs for the Weekend: Round 2

Last week we shared five songs that were perfect for that crunk Alabama mix, but apparently it wasn't bumpin' enough to woo our team to victory. So this week we'll change it up a bit, with some hip-hop as well as alternative.

Bo Burnham to Bring Laughs

Comedian Singer/Songwriter Bo Burnham will perform at the State Theatre on December 3rd, according to the comedian's website. Make sure to keep an ear out for details regarding this event; this 20-year-old comedian may be looking for a place to party after, and you don't want to miss out on offering him a place to crash.

Burnham, a graduate from high school in the class of 2008, is now the youngest comedian to be signed to Comedy Central records.

Reel Big Turnout

The concert held on the baseball field proved for a great outdoor venue that the Student Programming Association-sponsored event could still charge and control those coming in.

The crowd consisted primarily of lisped prepubescent boys, die-hard fanboys, stoned nightowls, and then me.

Apparently there was some rules to this Halo: Reach release party. But these are only professionally observed opinions.

Passion Pit to Play BJC

According to Ticketmaster.com, Passion Pit will perform at the Bryce Jordan Center Oct. 15 at 7:30 p.m., a perfect way to start out the weekend.
