Just over a month ago, the parents of Lt. Michael Murphy somberly walked southeast until they reached College Avenue. They roamed for three blocks and then made a sharp right-hand turn onto Heister Street, where muralist Michael Pilato was patiently waiting. Being a legitimate townie (suck it Bellefonte!!) I have spent a lot of my pre and post pubescent years eating at the Corner Room. It’s a fixture of State College life—Allen street would just look strange without it. That being said I feel like I haven’t really appreciated this fine establishment in the way I feel it deserves.
