Sharleen Chidiac: Bringing Folk Sound to State College

Sharleen Chidiac, a local guitarist, is bringing folk music to State College. Chidiac, whose parents forced her to take piano lessons when she was five years old, said her love for music did not resonate with her until the end of high school. When she came to Penn State, she taught herself how to play the guitar and has been writing original music for the past two and half years, making her music known in local venues, like Chronic Town, Webster’s Bookstore and friend’s parties. Record Number of Penn State Football Players Earn Dean’s List Recognition

A program record 20 Nittany Lions earned Dean's List recognition during the fall semester, breaking a previous high of 19 set in 2008. The 20 individuals are part of a larger group of 47 players who recorded a GPA of 3.0 or higher according to a press release.
