It's hard to believe, but Homecoming Week is just a few days away. Before anyone realizes it, we'll be watching the floats parading down Curtin Road, cheering as a King and Queen are selected, and singing along as the alumni Blue Band gives it their all in Beaver Stadium. But the fun doesn't start there--let this week be the beginning of the excitement by participating in Homecoming's Spirit Week.
Even though ground has not yet been broken, the Penn State community has gotten a pretty convincing glimpse of the soon-to-be Pegula Ice Arena. This new facility is currently in the works due to a $88 million donation by natural gas tycoon Terry Pegula. Thanks to a few released renderings and drawings of the facility, we can get a pretty good idea of what the new Icers' home will look like. Check out some artists' conceptual images after the jump!

Penn State Distinguished Alumnus Dan Mead is set to deliver his lecture "Technology Leadership and Collaboration in a Connected World" at 4 p.m. on campus at the Carnegie Cinema on Thursday. Mead earned degrees in quantitative business analysis and finance as well as an MBA from Penn State. In 2010, he received the Penn State Distinguished Alumni Award which is the highest award that can be given to a graduate.
