Table Ten Will Come Home to Penn State

The members of State College band Table Ten have decided to come back to the place they got their start. They will play at the Phyrst from 10 p.m. until closing every Tuesday night starting Sept. 7. Additionally, they will have a gig every Saturday night at 10 p.m. in the Rathskeller beginning Sept. 11.

Sugarland Plays at BJC

Performing to an audience filled with college students, Centre County locals and even children, Sugarland delivered a performance full of energy and excitement Friday night.

Jennifer Nettles, lead vocalist, sang and danced around the stage, but also made sure to give a few karate kicks and do the robot.

The unprecedented move to start freshman quarterback Rob Bolden has been a swirling topic all week, but with a 2-touchdown and a 239-yard performance, Bolden made the decision look like a no-brainer leading the Nittany Lions to a 44-14 victory.

Kris Allen Performs at State Theatre

Opening with the upbeat tune of “Can’t Stay Away,” Kris Allen catered to the diverse audience in the State Theatre Thursday night.

State College was the last stop of Allen's tour. During the concert, he remarked, “This is kind of a special night for us.”

HUB Titles: “Prince of Persia”

I have a love/hate relationship with video game movies. I’ve played video games since I was four, but films based on them are a pimple on the butt cheek of Hollywood. Like two men at a prom in the South, it seems as though these two things just can’t go together.

Youngstown State Preview

Penn State's defense is hungry, and Penguin is the main entree. The 2010 defense is deep at every position and will boast a rotation of six linebackers who all have game experience. Similar to Penn State's situation, Youngstown will be putting freshman Kurt Hess under center against a Penn State defense that led the Big Ten in sacks last year.
