Suspicious Package By Old Main Deemed Safe

About an hour ago, the PSU TXT service sent out the following text:

UPark alert MSG: Suspicious package found on Old Main patio. Police on scene. Avoid area. Details soon: http://live.psu.edu/



The Collegian reported that police are on the scene and that the building has not been evacuated. Minutes ago, Penn State's Facebook page announced that "Police determined package is safe. Area re-opened." More details as they become available.

Cogster: Helping Main Street PSU

The days of picking up your dry cleaning and getting on a bus to New York are no more--if you rely on the new State College MegaBus service, that is. Instead, you can now pick up some Sam's Choice soda or McDonald's before your ride out. That's right, folks. The MegaBus stop will move to the Wal-Mart parking lot. The Hottest BMX Show Coming to the BJC

ASA Entertainment, the hottest show in extreme sports, will be high-flying in the Bryce Jordan Center when the most popular BMX riders in the country take over the arena. The BJC will be transformed into a 195-foot-long course full of 25-foot wooden ramps and monster quarter-pipes. The top BMX pros, many of whom have experience at the X-Games, will be competing in a "big air" head-to-head competition on October 23 at 7:30 p.m.
