Downtown State College is all about local business. And one of our favorites, Webster's Cafe, is celebrating its first anniversary this Saturday with a day of local art and music. The downtown bookstore/coffee shop will soon relaunch with a new and improved bookstore and new menu options.

A single car accident sent one man to the hospital and backed up traffic for about an hour on Monday evening.
It took nearly 30 minutes to remove the man from the vehicle, which jumped the curb and struck a traffic light pole on N. Atherton St. near Champs.

For those of you who have ventured onto the west side of Beaver Avenue, there is a good chance you have passed by Jim's Army & Navy. If you are one of those people, your first thought when passing by Jim's was most likely, "What the hell is going on in this store?" When a store's window display boasts handcuffs (they even come in pink), switchblades, throwing stars, machetes, other swords, and ammunition, you really have no choice but to be utterly confounded. Little did I know that I was about to walk into the greatest store ever.
