Hurricane Sandy, or the #Frankenstorm, is expected to hit State College beginning Monday night into Tuesday morning. According to State College-based Accuweather, weather conditions in State College and Central Pennsylvania deteriorate throughout Monday and will worsen sometime between Monday night and Tuesday. Effects of Sandy will continue through Wednesday.
State College feels like it's our own safe little bubble. There's a reason that we're comfortable gallivanting around downtown at 2 a.m. while moderately inebriated. Even females, scantily clad as they're often seen to be, seem content stumbling home alone for several blocks. But maybe they shouldn't be. A New Orleans themed restaurant and club, called club "Duo" will open today. Located on Pugh Street between College and Beaver, the restaurant portion of the complex which features a quality cajun-infused menu had been previously announced, however the second floor nightclub remained unknown.
