Mauti, Barnes Earn Player of the Week Honors

Two members of the Penn State front seven were honored by the Big Ten for their efforts in the Nittany Lions' 34-7 shellacking of Navy on Saturday. Senior linebacker Michael Mauti was named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week after registering 12 tackles (7 solo) and 2 tackles for loss, and Deion Barnes, a Philadelphia native, was named co-Freshman of the Week, sharing the honor with Indiana quarterback Nate Sudfeld.
