You will no longer be forced to look at photos with seemingly pointless jokes about other colleges that you do not understand every time you sign onto Facebook. Instead, your timelines will finally be flooding with the ever-popular “Most Interesting Man in the World” and “Y U NO Guy” accompanied by familiar phrases pertaining to Penn State life.

To those in the rap game, State College is a fractured scene. In true musical Adam Smith philosophy, the hip-hop culture has been suppressed by self-interest and hit-it-big egos of local rappers. But for the entertainment trio, Common Ground, being the glue that binds the music scene is just as rewarding as making that Jay-Z cash flow. It's February and THON is just around the corner. And we all know what that means: State Patty's Day is lurking right behind it. There has been a lot of discussion over the last several years about the harms this "holiday" brings along with the drinking and merriment, including the potential disgrace to the reputation of our school and community. But this year, that concern takes on a whole new tone. So we at Onward State want you to take a moment and ask yourselves, "Do I care about the image of Penn State?"

Yesterday, I was on a mission: No, not to get a job, but to find the best free swag the career fair had to offer.
