What’s In Your Fannypack, THON?

When you’re standing for 46 hours and can’t leave the floor, dancers want necessities on-hand, but out of the way. The answer? The hands-free wonder that is a fanny pack. It’s not just convenient, it’s one of the best ways for a dancer to accessorize. Valley had their eyes peeled for the most unique fanny packs and even took a peek inside.

Saturday was not a picture perfect day for dancer Ali Fogarty, but being separated from her family has resulted in other support systems keeping her going strong as she forges ahead on the journey to 46.

Total Whiteout Was Awesome

There's just really no other way to put it. There is no way, none, that any recap I could write would do Total Whitout's performance justice. They made me laugh, cry, sing along, fist pump, and jump up and down, all in their hourlong set. However, since I have to write something or I lose my seat in Press Row, here goes nothing as I try to put one of the best live music experiences I've had into words.

THON Pep Rally Showcases Penn State Athletes’ Dance Moves

If you were lucky enough to be in the Bryce Jordan Center for the the Pep Rally, you know how awesome the dance skits were. In case you weren't, here is what you missed.

As I approached Jerry, I could see that he was starting to feel the pain of standing for 27 hours. However, desperate fleeting grimaces of physical discomfort, his spirit was as high as it could possibly be. Here is what he had to say:

Looking strong as an ox, Joel approached me with a smile that would swoon even the coldest of hearts. Confessing that he is awful at writing blog posts, Joel left us with few words again. But that's all he needed to share his modest perspective of the first half of his dancing experience:
