When I was a freshman at Penn State, I knew close to nothing about THON. I knew it was a big deal at Penn State, raised a ton of money to fight pediatric cancer, and that's where it started and ended.
However, while I couldn't (and still can't) keep up in conversation with THON activists, decipher how to pronounce the names of the frats and sorority orgs, or tell you the difference between all of the different committees, I knew and admired one specific group: Atlas FTK.

Late at night on the concourse of the BJC is pretty interesting. The Natty Nittany decided to take a look and see what sorts of outfits were out on parade.

Thirty-four hours into THON the dancers are still going strong. There's still a long way left before their tired legs can get a real break, but State College's Integrative Bodywork School of Massage Therapy is helping them stay on their feet.

As THON goes on for longer and longer and the hours become later and later, it can be difficult to stay awake and keep that energy up. So we here at Onward State have come up with a THON version of childhood favorite, I-Spy to make the wee morning hours seem not so daunting.

Heard enough of the 2013 line dance? Try this new one out and keep your spirits up as you THON on!

When you’re standing for 46 hours and can’t leave the floor, dancers want necessities on-hand, but out of the way. The answer? The hands-free wonder that is a fanny pack. It’s not just convenient, it’s one of the best ways for a dancer to accessorize. Valley had their eyes peeled for the most unique fanny packs and even took a peek inside.
