Canning Weekend #2 is but hours away, and everyone is packing up their winter coats and sleeping bags for a weekend of fun and fulfillment. If there ever was a time when representation of THON, and Penn State were most vital, it would be now. While all Penn State students and alumni understand that THON has nothing to do with the Sandusky scandal, the same cannot necessarily be said by those outside our community. Some passers-by may see canners holding signs that say "Penn State" and "kids" on them and immediately make assumptions. Some may even vocalize their conclusions, and we must decide how to properly handle such a situation.

In support of THON, independent THON organizations Atlas, Springfield, Apollo and SHCStuCo will be holding a Mario Kart competition from 7:30-10 tonight in Redifer Commons.

This week's installment of the THON Overall Series features Donor & Alumni Relations Overall Anuj Upadhyay. Do you think Anuj can dance? Find out after the jump.

"When you THON for us, we know we are not alone. It gives us courage. It gives us strength."
These were the words of Four Diamonds child, Kora Byer. She was the star of last night's hilarious show at Eisenhower Auditorium for the Mr. and Mrs. THON 2012 Pageant.

In the midst of the insanity that was last week, a rumor came to our attention that Johnson & Johnson had decided to no longer donate to THON. After the national media's often poor coverage of all that was happening in State College, which led to the misconstrued opinions of those outside the Penn State community, this rumor, unfortunately, seemed quite plausible. However, Donor & Alumni Relations Overall Anuj Upadhyay has assured us that this is incorrect.
