Bands Battle at THON Band Bash to Perform at THON

On Thursday night six bands will fight for a chance to perform during THON 2011. The event will be in Alumni Hall in the HUB, and doors will open at 6:30pm. While admittance is free, donations will be accepted at the door.

The winning act will be determined based on judging by THON Entertainment Captains and crowd response. The winning band will join nine other performers THON weekend in the Bryce Jordan Center for a chance to perform in front of thousands of people.

Penn State Basketball Game to Benefit THON

Tonight at the Bryce Jordan Center, Penn State Men's Basketball will face off against #16 Illinois in its 3rd of 5 consecutive games against ranked opponents.

In addition to the intrigue that comes with playing a quality opponent, the game has added value in that all student ticket sales will go towards THON.

Tickets are $5. You can purchase on at the HUB today, or at the door tonight. So make sure you bust out your fanny packs, crazy colors and big pink Atlas hat (if you're lucky enough to have one), and head to the BJC at 9:00 to cheer on the team.

Penn State THON Releases 2010 Fundraising Data

This afternoon, the Penn State IFC-Panhellenic Dance Marathon, known to all as THON, released its summary of fundraising efforts for the 2010 fiscal year. Check out the numbers after the jump.

Wendkos Statement on Removal of THON’s Official Name

Interfraternity Council President Max Wendkos sent out a statement Sunday evening summarizing his views on THON's removal of its official name from canning materials, a story we reported Thursday evening.

THON Removes Official Name from Canning Materials

Last week, THON announced that it would be updating its canning materials to make them more immediately recognizable to the general public.

What THON didn't announce at the time was that it also removed the organization's official name from canning materials.

Road Trip FTK!

Starting today, five percent of the ticket sales for the Penn State vs. Indiana football game, up to $150,000, will be donated to THON 2011 by the Washington Redskins.
