Last night's UPUA meeting featured a parliamentary procedure mess amongst a slew of legislation.
In light of the imminent bar tours set to hit downtown these last two weeks, here is a public service announcement for what you should and shouldn't do to ensure the best time is had by all.
A bronze statue of Joe Paterno seated on a bench will be erected outside the Tavern Restaurant in November 2015. The statue, designed by sculptor Zenos Frudakis, is in response to Penn State's decision to remove Joe Paterno's statue from Porter Road in July 2012. At the time, President Rodney Erickson called the statue a “lightning rod of controversy.”
The HUB expansion project will soon be filled with the "John Hancocks" of students who wish to become a permanent part of Penn State history.
Students will have the opportunity to sign the final two steel beams for the first-phase of the project on the first floor of the HUB from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 28 and Wednesday, April 29. HUB staff will also be on hand both days between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to answer questions about the project with free cake provided for every student who is broke at the end of the semester.
Weebly, a company created in a dorm room by three Penn State students, is now valued at nearly half a billion dollars.
Penn State will be well-represented in this year's NFL Draft, which takes place May 8-10. A total of eight Nittany Lions are draft-eligible this year, and a few have a chance to be drafted.
