Penn State Varsity Coaches Issue Statements

Several Penn State varsity coaches for various sports teams have issued statements regarding the NCAA sanctions placed on the football program yesterday. All of the statements are available on the team pages of the recently redesigned Penn State Athletics website and can also be viewed below:

What has gone on at Penn State over the past eight months is unfathomable, but we are more than just a disgraced football program. Our leaders failed us and the students will be the ones to lead the University back to prominence.

2012 Olympians Will Include a Record 19 Penn Staters

When opening ceremonies for the 2012 Olympic Games begin this Friday, a school-record 19 Penn Staters will walk the London Olympic Stadium, representing eight countries: the United States, Canada, Great Britain, Israel, Jamaica, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and Suriname. Among the 19 are four current Nittany Lion student-athletes, 14 alumni, and one coach.

Joegies Renamed to HUB Subs

Per the HUB Dining website, the popular hoagie shop known as Joegies has been renamed "HUB Subs".

Matt McGloin Makes Statement on NCAA Sanctions

Penn State quarterback Matt McGloin (@McGloinQB11) tweeted earlier today a poignant and inspirational statement about his commitment to Penn State, which he calls the "greatest football program in America". Before the scandal broke in November, McGloin was often been criticized for his leadership ability as much as his play on the field. After this statement, no one should be making those claims anymore.
