
Though the crowd may not have been able to sing along for the entire set, Cold Union Spring brought refreshing tunes that paired soulful vocals and guitar solos that had the BJC feeling like a Lynyrd Skynyrd concert.

"We're kind of a middle-of-the-road org. We're not too small, but we're not too big, either, so you can make an honest connection with other people."

They had just a quick set, but it was truly what the people wanted. Their three bangers were "Hey Soul Sister," "Valerie," and "Stand by Me."

Playing basically the exact same time slot they played last year in the early Saturday morning hours, it's pretty clear why THON keeps brining them back -- to keep the all nighters from falling fast asleep.

Bryce Starner, who donated the proceeds from his novel "Always" to THON and the cancer center in his hometown, is dancing in THON for a second time this weekend.

The duo, who have previosuly played at State College bars like Champ's and the Phyrst, helped keep those at THON awake in the early hours of the morning.
