
Conservative pundit, Ann Coulter, was speaking at Penn State last night rather than from her usual seat on the set of Fox News. While most in attendance listened attentively to her spiel on topics ranging from Obamacare to the War on Women, a small group met Coulter with hostility. The controversial Pennsylvania voter ID bill has been shot down by Commonwealth Court Judge Robert Simpson and will not take effect in the November 6 election.

The event hosted by PSU Votes was designed to give Penn State the fodder to spark political engagement within the student body. A town hall in the City of Brotherly Love turned quite un-loving for Tom Corbett as protests broke out against the Pennsylvania governor on issues ranging from welfare spending, Marcellus shale, the defunding of education and -- you guessed it -- Penn State. The day has come. Oral arguments have been presented and we were thought to have reached the point many have anticipated. However, the Pennsylvania State Supreme court today put the decision on hold continuing to address questions of the bill's disenfranchisement, and time of implementation.
