This is awesome that a celebrity tweeter is spreading the word! Give her some love and thank her for her help, as we try to spread the word even more about the amazing things that we can accomplish together.
Khloe has also posted on her website about THON! It's also nice to know people were heeding our @THONwardState tweets... right?

Last night, each of THON's fourteen committees sent forth a pair of Captains to compete in the first ever Mr. and Mrs. THON pageant, held in HUB Alumni Hall. The event, true to the spirit of THON, raised money FTK-- $613.42 to be precise-- but more than that, it showcased the contagious enthusiasm that will permeate the BJC in just three short weeks.
Based on the opening dance and their talent performances, three Captain pairs were chosen as finalists. The Captains from the Hospitality, OPPerations and Family Relations committees were named as the final three pairs. Steve Dodge and Jeannine Bradbury (OPPerations) were chosen as runners-up, and Jony Rommel and Dave Belliveau (Family Relations) were crowned Mr. and Mrs. THON 2010.
The contestants were judged by a panel consisting of Evan Royster, starting running back for the Nittany Lions; Lou "the mic guy" Defazio from the cheerleading squad; Justin Ross, Blue Band President; and Homecoming King and Queen, Greg Tallman and Cri Cri Henry. Overall Chair Caitlin Zankowski and THON Advisor Barry Bram hosted the event. The pageant also featured performances by the Overall Committee and a speech by a former Four Diamonds child turned Penn State nursing student and Morale committee member.

Penn State senior and self proclaimed "social media addict" Han Ma posted a picture of his canning group being shown on a huge screen in the middle of Times Square. Also, he let us know that John Mayer apparently showed up at the Hope Gala on Friday night for THON.

Come watch representatives from each THON Captain Committee compete for the title of Mr./Mrs. THON in the first annual pageant on Monday in Alumni Hall at the HUB.
Contestants will will be evaluated on their dancing skills, costumes, and other criteria. Be sure not to miss the group dance performance to a Gold Digger/Single Ladies mash up—complete with rapping! The grand prize remains shrouded in mystery, but it’s something every contestant will want during the upcoming THON weekend.
Doors open at 7:00 pm and the event will begin at 7:30 pm. Be sure to arrive early with your suggested $1 donation, as seating will be limited. And, even if you don’t care to see the shenanigans that are sure to ensue, just stop by FTK!

This Thursday night, Atlas THON will be having its second annual Texas Hold ‘Em poker tournament to benefit THON. Last year, the event singlehandedly raised over $500 and took place in the basement of Atherton Hall. This year, Atlas is going for a less Mafioso more public approach, as the tournament will be Thursday at […]

Do you love the Nittany Lion? The football team? PJ Maierhofer? The Drum Major? Cheerleaders? Have you ever dreamed of meeting these people? Ever wanted PJ to teach you baton twirling? Or wanted to play broomball with the PSU hockey team? Do you love kids?
As a Penn Stater, you should have answered yes to ALL of these questions, and therefore the following information should excite you: the Penn State Marketing Association is auctioning off the previously mentioned (and more) "dates" with some of Penn State's best! The event is Wednesday, January 20th, at 7:30 in Heritage Hall in the HUB. There is a suggested donation of $3 at the door, with all proceeds going to THON (note that this is NOT an official THON event). Check out the Facebook event page here.
What "date" would you most like to have? Magic lessons with Graham Spanier? Let me hear it in the comments.
