Nickelback to Headline “Last Stop”

Mike Wallace, one of the students in charge of the UPUA’s spring concert, sent a freshman intern to our offices this morning with a list of artists performing at Wallypalooza Last Call Last Stop.

Wallace explained to us why he choose Canada’s pride and joy, Nickelback, to headline the event.

I know just how much Penn State enjoys Chad Kroeger.

However, per conversations at past UPUA meetings, we are expecting that the “hip hop” headliner should be announced shortly.

Update 7:06 am: We just received an anonymous tip that Christian Ragland himself– recently elected UPUA president– will be an opening act. You can check out his debut single, “Vote Ragland” below.

Penn State and the Process of Life

To paraphrase Mark Twain: The reports of higher education’s death have been an exaggeration. American universities produce more research and relevant knowledge for the world at large than any other institutions I know of. Tuition may be too damn high, but over the long-run, undergraduate degrees are definitely worth the cost. But Penn State could be so much more. It used to be, I think.
