Penn State Sports Twitter

Last week, Onward State helped you navigate through the Twitterverse to find the best Penn State-related accounts to follow. This week, we’ll focus on who to follow for news, updates, and humor involving Penn State sports.

@GoPSUsports1 and @GoPSUJeff– The easiest way to get official Penn State sports information without having to follow the seemingly endless amount of “GoPSU_____” accounts.

@GoPSUhoops – Their “28 Days of Madness” promotion should be reason enough to follow them. Starting this past Tuesday, they will be giving something away every day leading up to the Ohio State game on 3/1.

@BWareLaFlare717 – Penn State defensive tackle Brandon Ware’s personal Twitter is, quite simply, the funniest thing on anyone’s timeline. Except for maybe…

@DanConnor55 –  The all-time leader in tackles at Linebacker U and current Carolina Panther is also an absolutely hilarious guy to follow on Twitter. His most recent tweet: “Just when I thought my street-cred with the team couldn’t get any worse, I leave my dang magic cards scattered in my locker”

@psufootball – Over 8,700 followers can’t be wrong (or can they?). Regardless, PennLive.com (The Harrisburg Patriot-News) has one of the best accounts to follow for Penn State football news and updates.

@Lions247 – Lions247 has quickly become one of the best sources for breaking news involving Penn State football and basketball.

@CoryGiger – While his opinions will sometime have you scratching your head, this reporter for the Altoona Mirror provides solid insight and enjoys interacting with followers.

@PSUExaminer – What this account lacks in followers, it makes up for in interactivity. Examiner.com’s Kevin McGuire loves to answer questions and talk Penn State football with his followers.

@MeanJoePaterno and @IfJoePaTweeted – Exactly what they sound like.

@NotEdDeChellis – Follow this account while watching a Penn State basketball game and try not to laugh. I dare you.
