With the Penn State Nittany Lions currently enjoying their bye week following a four game winning streak, we take another look back at the nine players who transferred this summer and provide a brief update. While Silas Redd is playing decent football, several other transfers have yet to make much of an impact for their new teams, while things are going pretty well right now for those who chose to stay at Penn State.

Penn State alumnus and Pulitzer Prize-winning journalism Sara Ganim spoke to a room full of journalism students last night in the HUB Alumni Hall as part of the Foster Foreman Conference of Distinguished Writers. Ganim gained widespread attention in March 2011 when she broke the story of a grand jury investigation into Jerry Sandusky's alleged child sexual abuse, eventually becoming the third youngest Pulitzer Prize winner ever as a result of the article she wrote.
The Community Help Centre downtown is hosting a benefit concert at the State Theatre on Thursday November 8th. Featuring acts from house DJs Tawa & Atomisk to indie rockers Flashback Forward, the show hopes to promote the many services provided by the non-profit resource center.
