Urban Outfitters is FTK

With THON just over a week away, State College’s Urban Outfitters is getting into the THON spirit by selling a t-shirt with a portion of proceeds benefiting the Four Diamonds Fund.

The store is celebrating the shirt’s launch this Saturday with a kick off party from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. The event will feature live music, free Jones Soda and other refreshments, and a performance of the THON 2012 Line Dance by this year’s Morale Captains.

“It’s always awesome to see the variety of THON gear created each year, and the Urban Outfitters t-shirt sale is definitely a cool new initiative,” said Joanie Vasiliadis, a Media Relations Captain on the Public Relations Committee.

While some profits from the shirts will benefit THON, the shirt is not considered official merchandise because it does not come from the THON store, Vasiliadis said.

Make sure to come down to Urban Outfitters Saturday to kick of the final week until THON and grab another new piece of gear for the big weekend. After all, there’s really no such thing as too may THON shirts, right?
