Former NCAA Investigator Blasts Erickson, NCAA for Penn State Sanctions

Ameen Najjar, a former investigator for the NCAA, blasted Penn State President Rodney Erickson for not fighting back against the harsh NCAA sanctions.

"The NCAA had/has NO authority to impose any penalties in that situation and PSU's president sold the school down the river!"

Restaurant Orgy Continues, Perkins Eyes State College Return

First IHOP, then Quaker Steak and Lube, now Perkins Family Restaurant and Bakery is getting back into the State College restaurant scene.

The Centre Daily Times is reporting that Perkins has filed a preliminary plan to the township to open up a 132-seat restaurant next to Eastview Plaza on Benner Pike.

Spring Commencement Speakers Announced

Another year, another list of forgettable commencement speakers at Penn State.

Spring commencement speakers were announced earlier today, and I would be surprised if anyone outside of the College of Communications had ever heard of their designated speaker.

Free Self Defense Class For Female Students

The University Police Department is now offering a free self defense class open to all female students. The course is completely free and works to educate women on how to avoid or prevent dangerous situations from occurring, as well as teaches women how to defend themselves should a situation arise.

Lucas and Bentley Receive All-American Honors

To nobody's surprise, junior Maggie Lucas and senior Alex Bentley were given All-American honors on Monday morning for their performances in the 2012-2013 season for the Lady Lions.

Urban Gaming Club: More Than Just Eating Brains

Arriving a few minutes early for the Urban Gaming Club meeting, I sat by myself in an empty room in Willard wondering what exactly the next hour of my life was going to be like. I had expected this meeting to be sitting in a classroom with Nerf darts flying in the air, people talking over one another and general dysfunctional every where. For the most part, I was right. But I was also surprisingly wrong.
