Nittanyville Weeklong Campout Set for Ohio State

Nittanyville announced via twitter that their annual weeklong campout will occur during the week leading the Ohio State game. The game has already been declared a full-stadium White Out, and will likely be the biggest game of the year.

Nittanyville, the group that camps outside of Gate A before each home football game, started in 2005 under the name “Paternoville”, eventually creating controversy by changing their name in July of 2012. Since its inception, the group has camped out before every home game in tents, waiting to assure the best seats each Saturday. The group has received national recognition, including a spot on ESPN’s since-cancelled show Cold Pizza.

The weeklong starts on Monday, October 2o, with all other campouts this year starting on the Wednesday before their respective game. The Michigan State game will be the lone exception, beginning on Friday afternoon due to  the Thanksgiving holiday.

This is the second time in the past three years that the weeklong will occur in the lead up to the Ohio State game. Last year, Nittanyville camped out the week before the Michigan game, and we all know how that game went. We can only hope for a similar result this year.
