DOTD: New Hype Video Will Get You Too Excited For Football

After a crazy two weeks for James Franklin and co. that included five recruits committing to Penn State, more game times being announced, and student tickets selling out almost unbelievably quickly, the past few days have felt somewhat quiet on the football front. But earlier today, James Franklin gave Nittany Nation even more of a reason to look forward to football season, tweeting out a hype video that could make even the most casual Penn State football fan itch for the Nittany Lions’ September 5th season opener.

The video includes most of the highlights from James Franklin’s first year as the head of the football team, with a strong emphasis on recruiting and Franklin’s tactics for hyping up national signing day. Throw in some great crowd shots from last year’s White Out against Ohio State, some slow-mo clips of big hits, and of course, some Sam Ficken game winners, and you have three and a half minutes of awesome, chill-inducing video.

With football season only 66 days away, we can expect to see plenty more videos just like this one as the season comes nearer, and hopefully they’re all as great as this.

About the Author

Mike Reisman

is a senior Supply Chain Management major with an Economics minor (Read: Business Douche) from South Jersey. He has an intense fear of graduating so please don't bring it up. He writes about stupid things nobody cares about, and student life if the site is low on content that is clearly supposed be funny but is really very unfunny. He is lovingly (?) known around the staff as Baby Mike which may or may not be because he has a child (hint: it’s not). He’s also a second generation Penn Stater who has been wearing Penn State sweatshirts since before he was two, a habit he hasn’t grown out of.
