Sam Ficken Invited To Jaguars Minicamp

Penn State legend Sam Ficken is still kicking — and now he has a chance to show off his skills for former teammate Allen Robinson’s squad, the Jacksonville Jaguars. Ficken went undrafted in the 2015 NFL draft but after a training camp excursion with the Kansas City Chiefs last summer, he has apparently stayed on the NFL radar.

On Monday, the Jags tweeted a picture of Ficken and punter Ryan Quigley saying they were invited to the mandatory minicamp this summer:

After not being drafted in 2015, Ficken continued to train in the State College area and is reported to have trained in Arizona with kicking coach Gary Zauner. Ficken went 24-29 on field goals in his senior season but four of his five missed kicks were blocked. Hopefully the Jaguars will help land another Penn Stater in the National Football League.
