Misterwives Puts On Surprise Performance At THON 2018

Indie rock band Misterwives is on stage at THON 2018! The band, which has opened for Twenty One Pilots, Walk The Moon, Paramore, and Panic! at the Disco, is known for hits like “Our Own House” and “Reflections.”

Is Misterwives the big mystery act for THON 2018? Ever since DNCE performed at last year’s THON, students have speculated whether THON might bring another big-name act to the Bryce Jordan Center.

Like DNCE’s performance, the Misterwives appearance was kept a secret even from most of THON’s volunteers. We can only assume this is to make the big performance a pleasant surprise rather than the reason people come to the Bryce Jordan Center in the first place.

Before the performance, the BJC went dim and a video came on from PNC Bank, which said it sponsored a “special experience” for THON 2018. It appears PNC sponsored the Misterwives concert for THON 2018 attendees.

This isn’t the first time the band has performed at Penn State. Misterwives last performed in Happy Valley for Movin’ On 2016 along with Walk The Moon, X Ambassadors, Nelly, and Sammy Adams.

The New York City-based group had time to stop by the “City of THON” before its tour, which kicks off March 1 in Florida. Misterwives will return to Pennsylvania June 13 to perform at the Keybank Pavilion just outside of Pittsburgh with Thirty Seconds To Mars, Walk The Moon, and Joywave.
