Tony Carr Named To Big Ten All-Tournament Team

Tony Carr earned a spot on the Big Ten All-Tournament team after leading the Nittany Lions to their first conference tournament semifinal since 2011. The sophomore guard joined champion Michigan’s Muhammad-Ali Abdur-Rahkman and Moe Wagner, as well as Purdue’s Carsen Edwards and Rutgers’ Corey Sanders among the five voted to the team.

Carr, who was previously named to the All-Big Ten first team in the regular season, averaged 20.7 points, seven rebounds, and 4.3 assists in the three games he played at Madison Square Garden this week.

Pat Chambers’ squad advanced to the Big Ten Tournament semifinals after taking down Ohio State for the third time this season. With the loss in the semifinals to Purdue, the Nittany Lions will have to wait a week until Selection Sunday to see if they did enough to convince the selection committee to put them in the NCAA Tournament.
