[Photo Story] Campus Pride Month Takes Over The HUB

Now that Campus Pride Month is in full force, Penn State’s Center for Sexual and Gender Diversity hosted a HUB takeover on Wednesday to kick things into high gear.

On top of informational booths and merchandise tables, Wednesday’s takeover featured a rousing performance from drag queens. The afternoon’s show drew a huge crowd on the HUB’s “High School Musical” steps.

Throughout the event, drag queens busted moves to pop music and fed off of the crowd’s energy — all while looking uniquely stylish, of course.

Among Wednesday’s drag queens were Jan Sport and Nicky Doll — two stars from “RuPaul’s Drag Race”. The duo even hosted Drag Bingo in the HUB earlier in the afternoon.

The performing drag queens really left it all out there, folks. The energy was palpable!

Some students chose to curiously watch from afar, while others couldn’t resist a chance to snap some photos of the memorable matinee performance.

While Wednesday’s HUB takeover is over, Campus Pride Month is far from finished. Check out our preview to learn more about upcoming events across campus throughout April.
